Prevalencia de la violencia contra la mujer en zonas rurales del Perú
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de violencia contra la mujer en las zonas rurales de Perú.
Métodos: Estudio transversal, realizado como un análisis secundario de la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar del 2020. Se incluyeron 3 144 registros de mujeres de 15 a 49 años, de zonas rurales. Para las variables cualitativas, se estimaron los recuentos no ponderados y ponderados con sus intervalos de confianza al 95 %.
Resultados: El 52,3 % de mujeres de zonas rurales presentó algún tipo de violencia. La violencia psicológica se presentó en el 48 % de las mujeres. Entre las expresiones, 30,2 % refirió que la pareja se molestaba cuando ella hablaba con otro hombre y a 7,8 % las amenazaron. El 25,7 % padeció violencia fÃsica, entre sus manifestaciones, 22,4 % fue empujada por su pareja, 1,9 % fue agredida con un arma. El 6 % sufrió de violencia sexual y el haber sido obligadas por la pareja fue la expresión más frecuente (5,9 %).
Conclusiones: En las zonas rurales del Perú, la violencia infringida por la pareja es un problema muy prevalente que afecta a la mitad de las mujeres, aproximadamente. La violencia psicológica es la más frecuente, en tanto que, la sexual es la que en menor proporción se presenta.
