Emotional education in the comprehensive development of Health Sciences students

Introduction: Higher medical education has the responsibility of preparing future health professionals. Health Sciences students face a rigorous educational process that not only involves acquiring technical knowledge and clinical skills, but also developing emotional competencies that are essential for their professional performance.Objective: Expose the advantages that emotional education offers in the comprehensive development of Health Sciences students.
Development: The elements related to the importance and advantages offered by emotional education in Health Sciences students are analyzed. The necessary strategies for the implementation of emotional education in the context of higher medical education are presented, as well as the challenges faced by this educational component.
Conclusions: Emotional education plays a fundamental role in the comprehensive development of Health Sciences students, improving self-awareness, interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stress and personal well-being. Its implementation not only contributes to the personal well-being of students; but also improves your ability to provide quality care to patients and work effectively in interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
