It will soon be a decade since the death of Doctor of Science José Rogelio Menéndez López, which is an opportune moment to recall his exemplary professional career as a military doctor in the medical services of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. For this reason, it is necessary to deepen our knowledge of his life and work, expand his biography and learn about his contributions as a military doctor to the training process of health professionals. Professor José Menéndez received the status of consulting professor, for his notable dedication to the practice of internal medicine in the military field. He was an outstanding scientist, with important results in the field of research in the military biomedical field. He wrote several textbooks and articles that he published in high-impact medical journals, which led to him achieving the title of second-degree specialist in internal medicine and the categories of Senior Researcher and Senior Professor.Downloads
