Considerations on academic stress among university students

The study on academic stress in dental students raises two points that can enrich its interpretation. First, it notes that, although the Dental Environment Stress questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument, the analysis is limited to comparing individual items. Therefore, it suggests incorporating methods that allow for a better understanding of the impact of each dimension of stress. Second, it highlights that the main factors identified are patient lateness and fear of failing, along with other aspects that also influence student life. Finally, it proposes training and support measures to help reduce the perceived workload and foster a healthier academic environment.
